The Tariff Rate: The U.S. has imposed a 50% tariff on various Canadian goods, which affects original artwork like paintings, drawings, sculptures, and prints sold to American buyers

Clearance fees are:

charges paid to customs brokers or couriers to prepare documentation, handle administrative tasks, and secure the release of goods through customs during international shipping. These fees are distinct from government-imposed taxes and duties, often covering broker services, document prep, and bond fees.

So in order to go through the border all packages have to be cleared for customs and this process now implies a CLEARANCE fee.

FEDEX is sending out invoices by mail-email after the package is received.

Prior to 2026 all packages under $800 ( Deminisis rule) were not subject to clearance. Hopefully this rule will come back soon …

Use FedEx Billing Online (FBO): This is the primary method to dispute charges before paying. Locate the invoice, select the tracking ID, and choose "Dispute" to provide reasons.
Submit a Dispute Form: For U.S. payers, complete the Clearance Charges Dispute Notification Form. This is necessary if you believe the classification (harmonized tariff code) or declared value is wrong.

We ship to EUROPE with Canada post or DHL express depending on the size & value of the shipment.

All shipments are tax free in CANADA but can be subject to duties in the country of destination.

Returns

We accept returns with purchases over 150$
BUYER Pays for the return shipping costs
Returns must be made before 7 days after reception of the items and are at buyers expenses.
Returns must carry 0 value with the label '' CANADIAN GOODS RETURNED TO CANADA''

Buyer sending back items are responsible for damaged items so items must be shipped in original box and packing.
Transcation is credited once the item is received in mint condition.

How we ship

First, each artwork is carefully wrapped using mainly bubble wrap and we might also add other packing material such as foam or Styrofoam depending on the artwork and the box used.

Secondly, we contact the appropriate service to deliver the goods in proper times at the best possible rate so we can keep offering the finest art at the finest prices. All the artworks are insured by the gallery and not by the carrier. We ship with UPS, PUROLATOR, CANADA POST and FEDEX.

Thirdly, once the artwork is on its way we close the transaction by processing payment on the secure card service processor and enter the tracking number (when available) so you can track the artwork on the carrier website. Note that we are not responsible for unexpected delays due to custom or carrier delays.

Free shipping is available for every shipment going to CANADA and USA for every transaction over $150 and a fixed rate of $69 is applied on overseas shipments. Please contact us for other services or next day deliveries.
